ENDERBY – The Regional District of North Okanagan will receive a $128,750 award from the provincial government’s Olympic/Paralympic Live Sites program for upgrades to Enderby Arena, Shuswap MLA George Abbott announced today. April 13, 2007.
“This funding jumpstarts several critical upgrades for Enderby Arena,” said Abbott. “This multi-purpose, year-round facility will be making improvements to continue hosting major events in the Okanagan.”
The funding will be used to upgrade and improve the mechanical room ceiling/ventilation system, main lobby, washrooms, replace asbestos flooring, and construct a female dressing room. It was also be used to upgrade the mixing board, metal cladding, refurbish the skating rink and upgrade the entrance.
